Deep inside McCulloch chainsaws, there is a world behind these awesome power tools. McCulloch is a well known chain saws manufacturer. The corporation was founded in 1943 by Robert McCulloch, who gave his name to the current leader on gas and electric chain saws. The original company name was McCulloch Motors Corporation and was located in Milwaukee (Wisconsin). In 1948, the 5-49 two-man chainsaw was manufactured and released throughout North America. It had a tremendous repercussion all over the country. It was possible due to the smart combination of lighter weight, and much more horse power than any other chainsaw offered on the market.
1958, McCulloch Motors Corporation changed its name to McCulloch Corporation, and started its hegemony on chainsaws. McCulloch introduced the Power Mac 6, which was the world’s lightest chain saw so far. It weighted only 8.5 pounds and was fully fueled. The next winning product released was the Mini Mac 1. That power tool was mainly designed to be affordable for casual users, and not just for professionals. Since that moment and later on, McCulloch has provided electric chain saws(1972), gas hedge trimmers & blowers,gas powered string trimmers. McCulloch moved to Tucson (Arizona) in 1988 and some time later, in 1999was purchased by Jenn Feng Industrial Co. Ltd. A Taiwan manufacturer that is the current designer and distributor of that legendary chain saw corporation.
