In order to adjust the reel mower we should loose and adjust each end of the roller shaft to the same height. Most units have an adjustment nut at the ends of the roller shaft. Then, and just after we have adjusted every roller shaft, we will turn the reel checking for contact with the cutter bar. Adjust the reel to touch but not be stopped by the cutter bar. The last step will be to insert a strip of newspaper between the reel and the cutter bar, rotate the reel to verify that it cuts properly. In order to get done the adjustment we will adjust each cutter bar as needed. They normally are located on the end of cutter bar of the reel lawn mowers.
