Space Center Houston

This is one of Houston’s top and most popular attractions and is home to over 400 artifacts and lots of traveling and permanent exhibits that display and recount the U.S. space program. Visitors can also go behind the scenes at the NASA Johnson Space Center to learn more about the history of the missions to space.

Museum of Natural Science

This museum has an incredible collection of space station models, mineral specimens, 60 big skeleton mounts – including three Quetzalcoatlus and four Tyrannosaurus Rex, a planetarium and more. There are many guests and special exhibits as well.

Downtown Aquarium

This 500,000-gallon aquatic aquarium features over 200 species of exotic sea life from all over the world. It is a highly enjoyable attraction for the entire family, especially for kids who can have tons of fun on the aquarium’s rides like the Aquatic Carousel, Shark Voyage, and Frog Hopper. There is tons of entertainment for the adults as well, including aquatic and geographic exhibits, a full ballroom, full-service restaurant, upscale bar and lots of shopping.

Minute Maid Park

You can visit Minute Maid Park to watch the Houston Astros play. Fans can now watch their team play on natural grass for the first time in more than 35 years. In left field, there is a Happy Hour Beer venue where there is a huge beer variety to choose from, along with many food options include barbeque selections.

Hines Waterwall Park

This is a great park for the entire family to relax and enjoy the great outdoors against a stunning backdrop. This park features a 64-foot semicircular fountain where 11,000 gallons of water are circulated every minute and then tumbles down the outer and inner walls of the structure. There are close to 200 oak trees surrounding the park and it is a very popular place for locals to do things like have picnics, play Frisbee, and meet friends.

Cockrell Butterfly Center

There is an enormous variety of different species housed here which provide many teachable moments for children and adults to learn more about butterfly and bugs. There is a living butterfly habitat that features incredible specimens along with many fun interactive games.
